Breckenhill is a private and exclusive wedding venue located in the heart of Antrim. Set in a secluded, picturesque location in the hills near Ballyclare, we offer a truly flexible and unique venue in an 18th century barn, sympathetically restored to a high standard.

Licensed for Civil Marriages and Partnerships, Breckenhill can be your venue for the whole day, from ceremony to last dance. You could also have your Stag or Hen party here with our range of outdoor activities, which you can follow with an evening party, barbecue or hog roast.The upstairs room seats up to 80 for the service, and can also be used for the wedding feast, seating guests at either round or rectangular tables.




You can have your champagne reception downstairs, or in good weather, in the garden or marquee alongside the barn. Photographs can be taken around the gardens and woodland areas, in front of the Georgian house, or inside the house by appointment. There is also a fishing lake nearby which offers further photo opportunities.

In addition to the upstairs room, the stone-walled room downstairs can also be used for a small marriage service, seating 25 guests. This room opens onto the patio and garden, where a marquee can be erected to extend the covered area, act as bar area or for food service. It is also possible to hire a larger marquee extending onto the adjacent tennis court. Outdoor ceremonies are also possible on a fine day, and can be held anywhere in the gardens.

• Stag and Hen days/nights also available with our choice of outdoor activities, from archery, orienteering, Earthball games (see the website!) and a wide range of fun games and leadership challenges.

The barn will be available from the day before your event, to allow for deliveries, decorating and setting up and until midday on the following day to remove any remaining items. We never have more than one event in a day, or two weddings in a week to allow time for each couple to prepare their day.



With the option of a variety of activities to entertain your guests, from croquet and tennis to an archery session, you are guaranteed to have a wedding day like no other - making your special day even more special and giving you and your guests a day to remember.
