It is traditional for couples to set off for their honeymoon straight from the wedding reception, it is however becoming increasingly popular for couples to stay overnight at the same hotel as friends and relatives, so that they can relive the details of the wedding the next day.

This gives you time to catch your breath. With all the excitement of the wedding you will be exhausted and jetting off at the stroke of midnight may mean that all you want to do for the first few days of honeymoon is sleep. Schedule and work permitting, it is a good idea to book your honeymoon a day or two after the wedding for this reason.
