Couples Choose 'End of World' Wedding Date

The end of the Mayan calendar on December 21 has not put couples off securing the date for their wedding.

Almost 700 couples will be saying 'I Do' on 'Doomsday' in Hong Kong.

When the South China Morning Post asked about the Mayan calendar, Yung Yu-shing, 28, told them: "I say we get married even if it’s going to be the end of the world.

"No matter what happens, we will spend the rest of our lives together."

The ancient Mayan civilization believed December 21, 2012, represents the end of a cycle. Doomsday believers predict a cataclysmic event will occur that day and end the world.
