Speaking exclusively to OK! magazine, Coronation Street actress, Ghadie, said: "We are at the stage where we are solid in our relationship and feel we are ready to say yes, we are together."
However, the couple insisted they did not get together until Longchambon split from his Hollyoaks actress girlfriend, Jennifer Metcalfe.
Longchambon explained: "I wasn't sure about my relationship with Jen any more.
"I seemed to be enjoying more and more the time I was spending with Samia.
"I then told her I had feelings for Samia."
Ghadie continued: "If Sylvain had tried anything on with me when he was with his ex, I wouldn't be with him now, I wouldn't be able to trust him.
"Nothing happened until after he split with Jen."
Samia also revealed that she was 'targeted' on Twitter by Metcalfe's friends.
She told OK!: "A few of Jennifer's friends targeted me on Twitter and sent the most vile tweets you can ever imagine... I knew that I hadn't done anything wrong."
