According to Noah Levy, one of the co-hosts on VH1's 'The Gossip Table', who said: "The wedding of the century could be this summer. Brad and Angelina actually have set a date."
It was reported that the Hollywood couple had decided on a date this week after the US Supreme Court overturned the Defence of Marriage Act (DOMA) which denied equal protection to same-sex couples. Pitt and Jolie were believed to be waiting until everyone in the US could legally marry before they tied the knot.
Pitt has previously spoken of his relationship with Jolie, joking that their children keep pressuring them to marry and make their relationship official.
He said: "We're getting a lot of pressure from the kids. We didn't know how much it meant to them and then, in getting engaged, how much it also means to us."
The couple, who have been together since 2005, have six children together.
