The couple, who are expecting their first child together early next year, have been reportedly planning to tie the knot before the baby arrives.
When asked by TMZ about a potential wedding, the US socialite replied: "I don't know, you'll have to ask him."
Last week, 53-year-old Cowell suggested he was planning to get married when he said he "wouldn't expect Lauren to be a single mother.
He later repeated this view to E! News stating: "Obviously, I would never expect to bring a baby up without a proper father."
He also confirmed it would be something they would do before the birth of their son, saying, "It definitely has changed me without a shadow of doubt because I never thought I would be a dad."
Silverman and her husband of nine years Andrew finalised their divorce in August. They currently share custody of their son Adam. When it was first reported that Cowell was to become a father, it was also revealed that Andrew Silverman was a close friend of the music mogul.
