The footballer, who is currently engaged to Christine Bleakley, discussed the couple's nuptials in an upcoming episode of The Jonathan Ross Show.
The episode, which will air tomorrow (19 October) night, will see the 35-year-old admit the pair hope to have their wedding after next year's World Cup in Brazil.
He added that it will be a close, family-based ceremony, which his bride-to-be is more than happy for him to plan.
"We're not going to have a huge celebrity wedding," he revealed. "We'll have close family and we're planning that at the minute."
He later added: "Christine watches that show where the men plan the wedding (BBC3's Don't Tell The Bride).
"The men always chose ridiculous venues and things and she said: 'I would trust you Frank to do it.'"
Bleakley, 34, jumped in saying: "He tells me when to turn up, what time, I'm very, very happy with that. It saves me any hassle."
The couple have been in a relationship since October 2009, and confirmed their engagement in June 2011.
