Former 'Strictly Come Dancing' professional Erin Boag has revealed she is pregnant with her first child.
The dancer, who has competed in all 10 series of the talent show prior to the current one, confirmed the news in a post on her website.
It follows much speculation as to why the 38-year-old decided not to return to the show this year.
She explained: "I can't keep it covered up any longer... There's been much speculation about my absence from this year's Strictly Come Dancing, but I can now reveal the real reason why I turned down appearing on this year's show... Yes, I'm truly excited and delighted to say… I'm pregnant!
"My husband Peter and I are expecting the arrival of our first child in the spring of next year. It's such a relief to be able to tell all, as it's been 'strictly mum's the word' these past few months."
She added that she plans to perform with her fellow 'Strictly' professional partner Anton du Beke in 'Anton & Erin's Christmas Cracker' at the Royal Albert Hall this Christmas, but won't embark on their annual tour next year.
"After the baby's born I'll be back dancing just as soon as my body and fitness allows.
"Anton and I already have bookings in place for next year, and I'm particularly delighted to say we're planning a big comeback tour for 2015," she revealed.
