Kanye West has asked his girlfriend Kim Kardashian to marry him.
Earlier this week, there was speculation that the rapper was planning to propose to his partner on her 33rd birthday which she celebrated on 21 October.
According to E! Online, it now appears the rumours are true, after West hired out the AT&T Park stadium in San Francisco.
After asking Kardashian's mum, Kris Jenner, for her blessing, Kanye proposed with a 15-carat Lorraine Schwartz ring. The publication adds that the 36-year-old was joined by a 50-piece orchestra who played both Lana Del Ray's 'Young and Beautiful', and Keri Hilson, Ne-Yo and Kanye's 'Knock You Down', while the message "PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!" flashed up on the big screen.
Kardashian accepted the proposal there was a fireworks display. The reality television star was also surprised to find her family and close friends running onto the field once she accepted the proposal, as they had been hiding in one of the dugouts nearby, watching the event unfold.
West and Kardashian have been dating since April 2012, but the rapper has been a friend to the family for a number of years. In December 2012, the couple confirmed they were expecting their first child together and in June, Kardashian gave birth to their daughter – North 'Nori' West.
