Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have confirmed their three-year marriage is over.
The news was confirmed to E! Online by a representative for the couple.
In a statement, they said: "Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have announced that they have been amicably separated for the past few months.
"After six years together, they have recently decided to formalise their separation.
"Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family."
The couple first started dating in 2007. In June 2010, their engagement was announced and the following month, Kerr released a statement saying she and Bloom had married in "an intimate ceremony".
They welcomed their first child together, a son called Flynn, in January 2011.
Rumours of the couple's separation were first reported earlier this year when Kerr posted a photograph of her hand without a wedding ring to social networking site Instagram.
