The estranged couple were granted a "quickie" decree nisi earlier today (Tuesday) after the couple had not lived together since October 2011. According to the Daily Mail, it took District Judge Caroline Reid just 40 seconds to end the pair's 12-year marriage. Neither Robson or Seager were in court for the hearing.
The couple married in a lavish ceremony at Cliveden House in Buckinghamshire in 2001, and have a 13-year-old son, Taylor, but it was said their relationship had "irretrievably broken down" following their separation.
Earlier this year, the 'Soldier Soldier' actor confessed he had not spoken to his wife since they decided to go their separate ways.
He said: "I haven't talked to her since we parted. We are in touch. But we don't speak. We communicate by text. It's nice and safe that way. And that's what Taylor needs.
"I don't know why Vanya decided it's better not to speak, but that's what she has decided. It wasn't my decision. It wasn't me that wanted to do that. She decided. Frankly, I'm not sure how she perceives me now."
The 48-year-old added he hadn't been the greatest husband and didn't blame Seager for the breakdown of their marriage.
He said: "Vanya and I just grew apart. I don't blame it on the career. It's just we were different and we didn't develop together. My mind went in one direction, hers in the other," he previously revealed to the Daily Mail, before adding that his work schedule was also not to blame.
"No, that wasn't the reason," he said. "OK, maybe it is being away all the time, maybe it's not being the greatest husband in the world, but by default that does not make you a bad father. But I try to keep my side of the street clean and I am a good dad.
"You get to the point where you may be great as individuals but you're not great for one another. I've had to explain that to Taylor."
Robson was previously married to occupational therapist Alison Ogilviem but their eight-year marriage ended in divorce in 1999.
