McFly singer Tom Fletcher and his wife Giovanna are expecting their first child.
The couple revealed the news on Tuesday with a video, which 28-year-old Fletcher later posted to his Twitter page.
Alongside the link, he share a cryptic message which read: "Sometimes the best way to say something is with a pumpkin...and a song. Me and @mrsgifletcher have some rather exciting news to share with you."
In the video, which takes the form of a montage, the couple are seen singing to each other while carving pumpkins.
They him: "Baby, I want you to know I love you so. I wrote you a lullaby.
"Now it won't be long until I sing you this song anytime you start to cry.
"It's a strain to contain my excitement. I can barely get to sleep at night when I know that in a couple of months I'll be holding you in my arms. I'll be right beside you all my life."
The couple finish carving the pumpkins and turn them towards the camera to reveal the words: "We're having a baby" carved into them. The caption "Arriving 2014" then flashes up on the screen alongside a scan of their unborn baby.
Later taking to the social networking site, both Tom and Giovanna thanked their fans for their support, with the singer writing: "Ah, thanks very much for the trend folks. Who's the (soon to be) Daddy! ;)
"Although if the little Fletcher thinks I'm sharing my toys he's/she's got another thing coming!"
Giovanna added: "Wow! Thank you so much for all your lovely messages. You guys rock! #BabyFletcher. XXXX".
Tom and Giovanna started dating at the age of just 13 when they were both pupils at the Sylvia Young Theatre School. They broke up shortly afterwards and got back together when they were 18. They have been a couple ever since.
In May 2012, they tied the knot at London's One Marylebone, a 19th century, Grade I listed former church.
