In a statement from the singer's publicist, it was revealed that despite the separation, the couple remain "on extremely good terms".
Ferry, 68, married the former PR in a private ceremony on the Turks and Caicos Islands in early 2012, having dated for a time before then. It is understood that the couple were recently granted a decree nisi at London's High Court, and now need to wait for a decree absolute to formally end their union. This is expected to take place within the next few weeks.
Ferry's publicist is quoted as saying: "With great sadness, Amanda and Bryan have decided to go their separate ways.
"They remain on extremely good terms and wish each other only the best going forwards.
"They would each be extremely grateful if their privacy in regard to this matter could be respected."
This was the second marriage for the singer. He was previously married to Lucy Helmore for 21 years. The couple had four children together.
