The 27-year-old, who is a contestant in this year's Celebrity Big Brother, broke down on the show on Tuesday evening. When pressed by her fellow housemate, Edele Lynch, as to why she was upset, the TOWIE star admitted it was because she still loves her ex-boyfriend.
Goodger did not mention any names, but while some have suggested she is referring to recent ex-Jake McLean, many have claimed she is actually referring to her ex-fiance Mark Wright. Wright and Goodger were in a relationship for 10 years before going their separate ways in 2012. Since their separation, she has made a number of jibes at Wright and his current fiancée Michelle Keegan.
During her time in the Big Brother house so far, Goodger has concerned any with her drunken behaviour in the house. She has also spent a lot of the time flirting with fellow housemate Ricci Guarnaccio, but on Tuesday, she rebuffed his affections and said they would only ever be "just friends".
Speaking to Lynch afterwards, the reality tv star confessed: "I feel like I've been trying to cover this up – I still love him. I'm not over my ex. I try to convince myself that I am over him but I'm not."
Elliott Wright, Mark's cousin, has spoken out about the reports, saying: "Lauren's just a bit jealous of Michelle and that's why she keeps having digs. Michelle won't retaliate, she doesn't need to, she's too classy for retaliation and she's a beautiful girl."
A friend of Lauren's is also quoted by Closer magazine as saying: "She's had a lot of knocks and she's extremely self-conscious about her appearance - she's vulnerable at the moment and it's clear she's turning to booze to cope.
"Lauren has spoken about Mark in the house and I think it's clear that she's still heartbroken."
