Earlier this month, it was claimed that the couple's relationship was in trouble after Arg had been dishonest about his whereabouts on a night out. He had told his girlfriend that he was staying at his mum's house for the night, but he ended up staying at the house of his TOWIE co-stars, Fran and Diags, instead and didn't tell Lydia. She later found out that he had lied to her, and during the last episode of the reality television show, Arg revealed that Lydia was still angry with him and had cut off all contact because she was frustrated by his behaviour.
Lydia herself has now commented on the situation. In a new video on the TOWIE website, she said: "Basically James has lied to me and has just been an idiot again. I'm not happy. This argument is very similar to a lot of arguments we've had in the past and that's why it's more frustrating. It's the same thing, it's history repeating himself. You would have thought that James would have learnt by now.
"James needs to leave me be at the moment because I'm very angry," she added. "When I'm angry you just need to stay away from me. When I've calmed down I can address it then. When I'm angry I just block it out, I don't want to talk about it and I just want to get on with my life. When I'm ready to approach the situation when I'm a bit more calm then I will."
Lydia and Arg have dated on-and-off over the last seven years, having been childhood sweethearts.
