A woman who abandoned her newborn daughter in a toilet cubicle at an amusement arcade will not face jail, it has been reported.

At a previous hearing, Ms Glover, 30, admitted cruelty.

She is understood to have been "overwhelmed by panic" when she gave birth on her own, and hoped someone would find her daughter. It also said that she did not intend to cause the child harm.

Appearing at Liverpool Crown Court, Glover was given an eight-month sentence, suspended for 18 months.

Her daughter, named April by nurses at Ormskirk Hospital, has been taken into care.
