Amber was granted a temporary restraining order againstJohnny after accusing him of physically assaulting her.
A Source told E! News: "This has been incredibly upsetting for Amber but she knows she is doing the right thing. It has been very traumatic for her to finally speak out, but she needs to do what she can to protect herself."
Amber filed for divorce last week and she is also claiming spousal support, even though the pair do not have any children.
