BBC One Welcomes New Wedding Series

BBC One has announced details of a new wedding show, Wedding Day Winners.

Hosted by Lorraine Kelly and Rob Beckett, each week will see two couples – set to tie the knot – and their family and friends going head-to-head in order to win prizes, a dream honeymoon, and a wedding ceremony which will be broadcast to the nation.

However, there are no losers on the show, with each couple coming away with a host of prizes, happy memories and above all married to the love of their lives.

With the help of a celebrity guest list, Lorraine and Rob will oversee the contest, encouraging the friends and families of each couple to compete in series of physical games, high adrenalin stunts, and challenges.

Lorraine Kelly said: "I am so excited about this show. There will be laughter and tears and lots of fun. Everyone loves a wedding and it will be wonderful to share such a life affirming event with our couples. It's a show all the family can watch together and perfect for a Saturday night."

Rob Beckett added: "When I was told that I'd be presenting Wedding Day Winners with the legend that is Lorraine Kelly, I was so excited, that in true wedding tradition I immediately put a tie around my head and started belting out Come On Eileen at the top of my voice. Unfortunately I was on the bus at the time."
