New LGBT+ Network 'Pride In Music' Aims To Promote Diversity

A new UK network, 'Pride In Music', has been established as a way of championing everyone from young talent to established stars.

The forum will connect artists and employees so they can provide peer support to each other and also network together.


Pride In Music will specialise in employer education, as well as giving one aspiring LGBT+ musician the chance to grace the stage at the Mighty Hoopla, a London pop festival this summer.

The network was established by people from BMG, Sony Music, Warner Music, Universal Music and the Creative Artists Agency.

The motivation behind the new forum was to address shortcomings in the way members of the LGBT+ community are treated in the workplace.
