F1 racing driver Lewis Hamilton and pop star Nicole Scherzinger have split up after a four-year relationship.
Nicole's hectic judging spot on the US X factor and Lewis' globe trekking F1 schedule mean the couple have not been able to spend quality time with each other.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Nicole and Lewis have tried to make it work but realised it's just not happening so have called it a day once and for all.
"They've spoken at length about it but agreed there's no point as they never see each other. They spend their whole time on opposite sides of the world. Although they came to an amicable decision, Nicole is actually devastated about it. She thought Lewis was the one."
The source added: "They still genuinely care for each other but they've decided to be adult about it and go it alone. There are no hard feelings."
The sportsman 26 and former Pussycat Doll 33 began dating in 2007 after hooking up at the MTV EMAs in Munich.
They split briefly in January 2010 before reuniting.
