Pensioner To Renew Vows With Wife Beater Husband

A couple are to renew their wedding vows a year after the husband tried to beat his wife with a rolling pin.

77-year-old Doris Clark, says she has forgiven her husband Ken, also 77, who beat her up in her bedroom while she was asleep.


Ken also tried to commit suicide as he did not want to tell his wife they were £17,000 in debt.

He was sentenced to four years in prison after admitting grievous bodily harm with intent, however he only served four months following a successful appeal.

Mrs Clark suffered from head injuries after the attack, however she was waiting for him as he was released from prison last week.

The couple, who have been married for 54 years, claim it has brought them closer together.
