Vancouver videographer Andrew Noon captured Brit Wong and Drew Burant hockey-themed wedding at Killarney Ice Rink. The 25-second trailer captures everything from a ceremonial face-off to the skate down the aisle.
The couple are like Romeo and Juliet on ice. Burant is an Edmonton Oilers fan while Wong, a figure skater turned hockey player, backs the Vancouver Canucks all the way.
“They were looking to get someone who was comfortable filming wearing shoes with spikes and walking on the ice,” Noon told the Metro. “When they came to me, I said, ‘Yes, I’d been playing hockey pretty much my whole life.’”
The video has now gained international play and has been featured by the biggest names in sport including Puck Daddy blog on Yahoo Sports and the U.S.-based show Dan Le Batard Is Highly Questionable on ESPN2 and TSN2.
