Massive Weddings Planned For Nov 27

Over 50,000 couples are expected to tie the knot on the night of November 27 in New Delhi, India.

The date is popular because 'Margasira Suddha Tadiya' falls on this day, immediately followed by Pournami.

According to The Times Of India Function halls, hotels, banquet halls and kalyana mandapams have been booked up and many wedding planners have voiced concerns that there is not enough space in the city to hold that amount of weddings on one day.

"There's a mad rush to conduct weddings on that day. As many as 20 persons approached us for bookings, but only two couples will get the chance to tie the knot at our venue," Aparna Biswas, banquets sales executive at a top hotel, told the paper.
