Wedding Ring Found On Carrot

A woman has discovered her lost wedding ring on a carrot growing in her garden.

Lena Paahlsson, from Mora, Sweden, lost the white-gold ring in 1995, according to newspaper Dagens Nyheter.

Lena remembers taking the ring off to do some Christmas baking with her daughters around 16 years ago. She could not find it on the work surface when she was finished and searched everywhere even taking up the tiling on the floor during renovations, she explained to the publication.

The couple ring have concluded that the band fell into a sink and was lost in vegetable peelings that were turned into compost or fed to their sheep.

Recently Mrs Paahlsson was pulling up carrots in her garden when she noticed the bling.

"The carrot was sprouting in the middle of the ring. It is quite incredible," her husband Ola said told the newspaper.

Lene plans to get the ring, which she designed herself, resized as it no longer fits.
