During a cohosting spot on LIVE! With Kelly the reality TV star, 31, said: "Being a hopeless romantic, I wanted to believe in something so badly.
"If you really think about it, if this was a business decision and I really made all that money that everyone was claiming that we made off this wedding, and if the wedding was fake and just for TV - I’m a smart business woman - I would have stayed married longer.
"I really didn't think following my heart would create this much backlash."
Kim revealed why she didn't fight to make things work: "I definitely tried everything I could [to save it], but also heard stories of people who had kids and stayed married for years and it didn't end up working out.
"I want babies and that forever love and if I felt in my heart that this wasn't right, why wait years for the same result?"
She has vowed to rewrite the fairytale.
