Russian Bride Kills Groom After Wedding Reception

A bride has stabbed her new husband to death on their wedding night.

The 20-year old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after Russian police found the body of her 18-year old husband at the couple's apartment in Kungur, Ria Novosti reports.


"After the official wedding and traditional toasts with alcoholic beverages on the evening of February 17, the newlyweds began to quarrel. The young woman stabbed her husband in the heart area during the quarrel and the young man died on the spot," the police statement said.

The bride faces up to 15 years in prison if found guilty.
