Wrestling fan Oliver Whittaker, 25, from London, made WWE history by popping the question to American born Maria Rosemberg, 22, during the Miami event.
The IT consultant also arranged for Maria, who is wheelchair bound, has a brain tumour and is blind in one eye, to meet her favourite wrestler CM Punk during the show.
He explained to www.thisislocallondon.co.uk: "Because she’s been diagnosed with quite a lot of medical issues she’s never had a holiday before so I thought I’d take her out there. We’ve been together for so long I thought it would be the perfect time. We both love wrestling.
"I’m sure this will be the happiest event of our lives and she thoroughly deserves it after everything she’s gone through.
"Even though we live on the other side of the world to each other it doesn’t matter. We’re both so excited."
Wrestlemania has been running for 28 years.
