Jail Wedding TV Star Goes On The Run

A convicted armed robber who married his girlfriend behind bars in the UK's first televised jail wedding is on the run.

Adrian Fielding, 25, was home on unescorted leave but failed to return to open prison HMP Kirkham, in Manchester.


Last year the post office robber wed sweetheart Kelly Hansen, 24, on the ITV1 documentary Strangeways.

A police spokesman said: "We believe that Fielding is currently in the Greater Manchester area so we would ask the public to be vigilant and report any sightings to the police."

He was caged in October 2010 after being convicted of two robbery charges and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
