Bride Stabbed To Death In Wedding Gown

A newlywed bride has been found stabbed to death still wearing her wedding dress in the bathtub at her home.

Estrella Carrera, 25, from Burbank area of Chicago, is believed by police to be a victim of domestic violence.

The mother-of-two kept her wedding quiet. She wed on Friday and called most people on the day to invite them to the reception.


The Spanish language translator was last seen around 2am on Saturday as the party ended. The alarm was raised when she failed to pick up her children from her father on Saturday afternoon.

According to her family the victim had a turbulent relationship for about three years on and off with the man she married.

Police found her body with multiple stab-wounds in an empty bath on Sunday afternoon.
