You Can't Slurry Love

A Shetland farmer has celebrated the build-up to his little sisters wedding by writing the bride and groom-to-be's names in 150-ft lines of slurry.

Jamie Halcrow, 25, honoured the impending nuptials of Fiona to Iain Currie by producing the masterpiece by driving his tractor around two family fields.

He wrote ’IAIN (HEARTS) FIONA’ in giant script made from slurry.

Fiona, 22, said: “I was pretty embarrassed at first but it was really funny too.

“When I realised what he had written it in I thought that was pretty disgusting, but my friends thought it was hilarious so did Mum and Dad.

“Iain and I are getting married in three weeks time in Shetland. We met at the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen and he proposed to me last March, but we’ve been going out about two-and-a-half years.

“It’s washed away now so it’s not there anymore which is good.”
