The Coronation Street star, 25, and The Wanted singer, 23, were set to wed after Max singer proposed in April 2011 but he called off the engagement earlier this year.
The pair called it quits after Max's ex Bobbi Aney, 29, claimed he texted and called her for phone sex during while dating Michelle.
"Michelle is definitely not considering getting back together with Max," a source told the Mail Online. "They haven't been speaking every night, it's definitely over."
Now Michelle has been linked to Corrie co-star Ryan Thomas
An insider told The Mirror: "Michelle and Ryan have always got on extremely well, but until now have only ever been good friends. Ryan was with Tina O’Brien and then Michelle got with Max, so even if they had wanted to get together they wouldn’t have been able to.
"But since Michelle ended things with Max about a month ago she has been spending a lot of time with Ryan. At first it was just as friends, but things have started to develop and their feelings for each other have become stronger. They’ve been out on a couple of dates and are taking things slowly. At the moment they are just two young people, letting things happen naturally."
