Actor Chris O'Dowd has followed up a three-day wedding by tweeting a photograph of his new wife in lingerie, holding a wine glass, to his thousands of followers.
The Irish actor, who has appeared in Bridesmaids, The IT Crowd and The Boat That Rocked, tweeted the tastefully-shot snap of Dawn Porter, TV presenter, yesterday.
He accompanied it with the less-refined words: 'There are times for restraint and there are times to boast about your sexy new wife! LOOK WHAT I GOT!!!'
The bride brushed off the photograph with just a hint of annoyance, tweeting: 'That wasn't the wedding photo I was planning to release. #husbands!!!!'
The new Mr and Mrs O'Dowd met at a party in Los Angeles to celebrate Dawn's 30th birthday back in 2009, before getting engaged during a Christmas break in Dawn's native Guernsey in 2011.
