Peaches Wedding: Pigs, Puppies And Flowers

Peaches Geldof had seven bridesmaids for her wedding at the weekend, her puppy acted as ring-bearer, and guests ate a cake decorated with pigs.

The details have emerged in a feature in Hello! Magazine.

Alberta Ferretti designed the custom-made gown that Peaches wore for her big day in Kent.

The ceremony was held at the church where Peaches's parents were married and where her mother Paula Yate's funeral was held.

Next, guests moved to dad Bob Geldof's country home, Davington Priory, to fulfil Peaches's vision of 'a country wedding meets Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream'.

Explaining the edible pig characters on the wedding cake, Peaches said they depicted the story of her romance with musician Thomas Cohen.

She laughed: "I'm obsessed with pigs - I just think they're adorable so they had to play a part in the wedding".

The puppy that acted as ring-bearer was the bride and groom's eight-month-old golden retriever puppy Parper, wearing a flower garland.

And the couple's five-month-old son Astala was in attendance.

She said: "I know it might seem old-fashioned to some people but I love that Astala will know that his parents are together and have taken the vows we've taken today… I've married the most wonderful man who I know loves me beyond anything, through all my faults."
