A story in The Sun newspaper claimed that the Hollywood star had split up with his former wrestler girlfriend, Stacy Keibler, because he wanted to be on his own again and was unable to commit to her.
But his representative has now denied the story, and said that the year-long romance between the pair is still going strong.
Stan Rosenfield, who is in charge of Clooney's PR, told the Daily Mail: "A story published by a London tabloid, The Sun, concerning George Clooney and Stacy Keibler is not true. Total fabrication designed to sell newspapers."
The couple first started dating in August 2011, a month after Clooney split from his long-term girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis.
