"It's gonna be a boy," Shakira told German television show RTL. "This guy [Piqué] is the best thing that ever happened to me in my whole life. And now we are having a baby."
The singer wants her son to improve humanity.
"When the baby is born, I'll take him with me on charity trips. He shall learn that he is able to change the world," she added.
She has also worked with charities including UNICEF, the Clinton Global Initiative and the Global Campaign for Education.
