The couple, who have two children together, two-year old Mason and three-month-old Penelope, have reportedly visited a wedding planner.
"About a month ago they visited celebrity wedding planner Sharon Sacks together just to discuss some ideas," a source told Fox News.
"Nothing was set in stone, but Kourtney is definitely exploring the idea, which is a huge step for her."
Sharon arranged Kim Kardashian’s TV wedding to Kris Humphries. The marriage lasted just 72 days.
"Kourtney will likely be very low key when it comes to her wedding, don't be surprised if it's not even on TV. That's Kim's style, not hers," the insider added.
