Martinez proposed to the American film star last Christmas and Berry has revealed her marriage plans in the new issue of InStyle magazine.
"I do know it will be very small," she said. "I haven't been to many weddings, but I went to one this weekend with 250 guests. I thought, Wow - so this is a wedding, huh? I've never had that, nor have I wanted that. I wasn't even trying to catch the bouquet!"
Halle Berry has been married twice before, but stresses she will continue looking for her ideal husband.
"It's another one of those never-say-never things. I'm a hopeless romantic, and I won't stop till I get it right!"
The Hollywood actress has yet to set a date for the big day due to a legal dispute with her ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, the father of her daughter Nahla, over her plans to move to Europe.
"I'm not sure where I am going to be living in the next few months, so I have to get that settled first," she said.
