Actress Demi Moore is believed to be filing divorce papers against her former partner, Ashton Kutcher, The New York Post has reported.
Kutcher previously filed divorce papers in December last year, but this would be the first time Moore has responded.
A source close to the 50-year-old said the actress had hoped to negotiate a quiet settlement with her ex, filing the papers once an agreement had been reached.
However the source revealed: "Ashton has been very difficult during the talks. You could even say he has been hostile."
They added: "Ashton made a lot of money after marrying Demi – a lot more than she made – but despite him becoming just as famous through her, he believes he doesn't owe her that much."
Kutcher is currently the highest paid actor on television. In 2012, he made $24m for his role in the sitcom Two And A Half Men. He has also invested in various tech start-ups.
The couple began dating in 2003 and married in September 2005.
In November 2011, it was confirmed by Moore that the relationship had come to an end.
