Emily Wheeler, 30, set up a page on the social networking site after claiming she was tired of seeing her mother date men who were "liars, cheats, smelly or plain weird".
Emily's mother, Roz Naderer (58), is twice-divorced and has had a number of unsuccessful relationships and disastrous dates over the years and Emily said she is determined to find her mum a new partner.
The page, entitled Date My Mum, was created by Emily after a conversation with her graphic designer husband Simon and helps companies market themselves on Facebook. He felt he could use this to help his mother-in-law find love.
Writing on the Facebook page, Emily wrote: "My gorgeous mum is single and looking for a man to sweep her off her feet.
"She's been on some dates with guys who have turned out to be liars, cheats, smelly or jut plain weird – and so I'm taking it upon myself to try and find her someone suitable!"
The page also hosts a number of photographs and updates on Ms Naderer's life.
One such photo has Naderer holding one of her grandchildren as they are in a swimming pool. Alongside the picture, Emily said: "Mum on holiday spending some time with the grandkids. She's a real family woman and her children and grand-children come first in everything. Any suitor would have to share her family values and priorities."
The page was created on Monday and has 42 'likes' so far.
