Marsh and Lomas married in September and have a daughter named Polly together.
A friend of Marsh's told Now: "She's Jamie's biggest fan and desperately wants him to get a big break over in LA, but this is the third time around and it's proving more difficult than expected.
"Life gets lonely when you're at home holding the baby.
"And it's not any easier for Jamie, who's missing lots of milestones in Polly's life - she's starting to speak and is growing up so fast.
"Kym wants him to be back in time for Polly's birthday on 23 March."
Lomas is believed to be in regular contact with his wife, however friends fear the distance will put pressure on their marriage.
Marsh also has two children, David, 17, and Emily, 15, from a previous relationship.

Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh is begging her husband Jamie Lomas to return home after he took to LA for work, according to Now magazine.Marsh and Lomas married in September and have a daughter named Polly together.
