Pheromone Parties 'Can Help Find Love'

A new idea of match-making is expected to arrive in the UK soon, after gaining increasingly popularity in the United States.

According to the Daily Mail, 'pheromone parties' are the latest craze to help people find love after research revealed humans are subliminally drawn to pheromones given out by people with whom we are compatible.

The idea behind the new 'parties' involve singletons being given a plain white t-shirt that they sleep in for three consecutive nights – it's also recommended that the subjects avoid using deodorant, to let their "true smell" shine through, as well as avoid eating garlic or onions.

The t-shirt is then placed into a sip-lock bag and placed on a table at the party. Guests sniff the t-shirts and once they find one they like, a photographer takes a picture of them holding the bag.

Once the photo is taken, it is projected onto a screen so the shirt's owner can meet their potential admirer.

Neuroscientist, Konstantin Bakhurin, was a participant at an LA party and said: "I think it's probably a bit of pseudoscience. I just came here to see what would happen."

Founder Judith Prays claims half-a-dozen couples saw one another again and one pair formed a lasting relationship following a party.
