The revelation follows weeks of speculation that the singer and her husband were expecting a baby girl, OMG Yahoo has claimed.
Earlier this month, the 24-year-old enjoyed a baby shower with her friends where the guests were spotted with pink balloons and a pink cake.
However, speaking to the publication, Marvin's JLS bandmate, Oritse Williams, referred to the unborn baby as a "he".
He said: "I'm so excited to be 'uncle Oritse', I’m still thinking of all the things I want to buy for it.
"We have the JLS tour planned, he's coming on tour, we’re going to spoil him."
Realising what he said, the singer added: "Er....... I didn’t say that, did I?"
Rochelle, who is now on maternity leave from The Saturdays, is due to give birth in a few weeks time. She and Marvin began dating in March 2010. They got engaged in December 2011 and married the following July.
