It has been reported that Kim Kardashian and estranged husband Kris Humphries could settle their divorce case within the next 24 hours.
According to website TMZ, both parties are to appear in court today for a settlement conference.
Humphries is seeking an annulment, but it has been claimed that he could be forced to accept a straight divorce as per Kardashian's preference.
The site has listed a number of factors which could push him towards a compromise, including an pre-nuptial agreement, meaning if the case goes to trial, he'll receive no money from his former partner.
The basketball star is also facing a fine after failing to attend the last hearing, and if the case was to go ahead and he loses, he will have to pay costs up to $1m in divorce fees.
Kardashian filed for divorce from Humphries just 72 days after the couple married in a lavish ceremony. She cited irreconcilable differences as the reason, but Humphries has argued that their marriage was fraudulent, claiming the 32-year-old only married him to boost the ratings of her television show.
The couple's divorce trial is scheduled to commence on 6 May.
