The singer did, however, take a series of photographs and videos to let her fans see the preparations for the ceremony.
As part of the celebrations, Carey wore a large princess-style gown, with a similar dress for her daughter, while her husband and son wore matching white suits.
The 43-year-old singer arrived at the ceremony in a pumpkin-shaped carriage pulled by white horses, before walking down the aisle with her family.
Throughout the night, the singer took to Twitter to share her thoughts, writing: "On our way to renew our vows. I love you @NickCannon shut down Disneyland KKLB"
While another message was dedicated to her children, who were also celebrating their second birthday.
It said: "Happy 5th(!!!!!!) Anniversary to the Best Husband in All The Land & 2 years ago pon de delivery room = luckiest Mommy in The WORLD! #HappyBirthdayDemBabies! #iluvroc&roe!!!! Just felt like tweeting you before sunset on #4:30"
