Kristen Stewart is said to be "heartbroken" after splitting with boyfriend Robert Pattinson.
According to People magazine, the couple – who have dated on and off – are said to have called time on their relationship once more.
Stewart and Pattinson, who also play lovers Bella Swan and Edward Cullen in the Twilight franchise, are said to have grown apart after Pattinson returned to Los Angeles earlier this month.
A source said the 23-year-old actress is "so sad" because of the split.
They added: "She hasn't left her house for days, but [has] surrounded herself with friends 24/7.
"They again went from spending every second together, to spending more time apart at their separate houses. Kristen has been in a terrible mood, and it was obvious that things were not great with Rob."
The couple split for a period last year after Stewart confessed to an affair with married Snow White And The Huntsman director Rupert Sanders. Stewart and Pattinson were said to have worked through the problems and later rekindled their romance. However, the couple spent Pattinson's 27th birthday without his partner, prompting speculation they had gone their separate ways.
The source continued: "It was very strange that they didn't celebrate Rob's birthday together. He had friends over at his house, but Kristen was not part of the celebration. For the past few days, they have not spent any time together."
