More Women Choosing 'Healthy Living' Over Relationships

More women are now said to be choosing a healthy body over a healthy relationship, according to a new study.

The research, which was carried out by 'better-living' retailer Abe's Market, asked 1,500 women based in the US about their health food priorities, with some surprising results being discovered.

When asked if having a healthy body is more important than a healthy relationship, 61% of women said yes, with 70% admitting they would prefer their children eat healthy than get good grades.

When it came to clothes, a huge 83% of women even claimed "they would rather have a healthy body than have a great wardrobe".

Jennifer Grayson, Abe’s Market contributing editor, said the results were "surprising".

"While we are aware of the tremendous growth of 'healthy eating', these survey results were amazing," she added.

"These are some surprising results on the importance of eating healthy for women. Today’s woman knows the importance of health – and apparently many value good eating more than good grades and good relationships.

"Women are increasingly making a having a healthy body their top priority over what we would traditionally think are their lifestyle milestones."
