According to The Sun, Bovey, who reportedly had an affair with 25-year-old Zoe de Mallet Morgan last summer, was said to still be in touch with the socialite.
Turner and her husband are said to have had "the mother of all rows".
In a statement yesterday, the 53-year-old television presenter said: "I can confirm we have separated. I need time to consider my immediate plans and will be making no further comment at this time."
Speaking to the publication, a friend of Turner said: "They had the mother of all rows. She told him she could never trust him again."
Another source added: "She can't stop crying. She feels particularly annoyed because she has basically been the main breadwinner – Grant hasn't exactly been rolling in money since the bankruptcy."
Last summer, Turner threw Bovey out of their £5m Surrey home for a month following the cheating allegations. The couple were married for 11 years. In 1998, property developer Bovey left his previous wife for Turner before they married in 2000.
Earlier this year, she said that appearing on ITV competition Dancing on Ice had "saved" her marriage.
