The poll, which was carried out by Hotels.com and included 2,000 people, found that 18% of women admitted conceiving while they were on holiday.
Spain was top of the list with 19% of women conceiving in the tourist spot, and this was closely followed by the UK with 15% saying they fell pregnant during a 'staycation'.
France (12%), Italy (9%) and Portugal (7%) rounded off the top five, respectively.
Researchers at Hotels.com also discovered that celebrity conceptions are also an influence on holidaymakers, such as Victoria Beckham in New York, Kim Kardashian for Rome and Beyonce for Paris. All were said to, or admitted to, having become pregnant while travelling.
Interestingly, men were more inspired to take a holiday to a celebrity conception destination compared to their female counterparts, at 5% and 3% respectively.
Laura Watts, of Hotels.com, said: "It's incredible to see celebrity conceptions are influential for some Brits when looking to book their next holiday - who knows where the next hotspot will be.
"We can see which destinations bring out our amorous side, especially in men, resulting in a holiday memory that will last a lifetime."
