Glee Star Jane Lynch has filed for divorce from her wife Lara Embry, according to E! Online.
Lynch, 52, and Embry announced they were to separate last month after three years of marriage.
At the time, the actress released a statement saying: "Lara and I have decided to end our marriage. This has been a difficult decision for us as we care very deeply about one another."
It has since been revealed that the Emmy Award winner formally filed divorce paperwork on Friday (12 July) in a Los Angeles Superior Court.
In court documents, the couple are said to have formally split on February 7, with "irreconcilable differences" being given as the cause for their divorce.
The pair first met at a fundraiser in San Francisco a year before they married over the Memorial Day holiday in 2010.
Speaking about their union at the time, Lynch said: "It was so wonderful. It was so great. We both feel as though we now belong to each other."
She also confessed: "I shouldn't say this, but I'd never dated anyone that I wanted to marry. I didn't think it was going to be out there for me.
"But the minute we were married, I felt the difference. I felt like I am no longer alone. I got married - and I married a doctor!"
