Ashley Tisdale has confirmed she is engaged to her rocker boyfriend Christopher French.
The actress took to her Twitter account to confirm the rumours that her partner had proposed last week.
She wrote: "Best night of my life. We're on top of the world."
It is understood French proposed to Tisdale on top of the Empire State Building in New York City last Thursday.
According to Life & Style magazine, sources said the musician pulled out all the stops for the proposal.
One is quoted as saying: "It happened on the 103rd floor at the top of the Empire State Building. It was totally romantic and Ashley's over the moon, of course!"
Since news of their engagement broke, the couple have been spotted out together, with Tisdale wearing a ring on her engagement finger. One ring featured diamonds which went all the way around, while the other was a plain band, although it is thought this was perhaps turned around to hide a diamond from the cameras.
The couple started dating after Tisdale split with boyfriend Scott Speer last year, while Christopher was previously linked to The Big Bang Theory actress Kaley Cuoco.
